Who We Are, Where We Have Been, Where We Are Going!

In 2007, the U-Fit 2 organization received its 501-C(3) status. As a nonprofit, our mission is to educate and encourage church congregations and communities to adopt physically active lifestyles. We are dedicated to improving physical, spiritual and emotional well-being through the promotion of faith-based health and exercise-related activities.

Our purpose is to provide services targeted to increase physical activity and decrease health disparities, and to implement a fitness leadership training program to sustain exercise programs, within our own communities, where they are needed most.

We believe our greatest resource is prevention and restoration is our best intervention.

Our priorities Specifically address populations who are at greatest risk for poor health and who face barriers to obtaining reliable, quality physical health education.

Our goal is to reach minority groups with disproportionate health care needs with particular interest on body image and depression.

Planning to shape a new foundation, we sought out a diverse set of leaders who believed in the same vision, to make a sufficient impact on restoring the wellness of our nation.

There has been some exciting progress made in the fight to educate people and promote healthy living. The accomplishments consist of:
